Man Accused of Concealing Identity, Exploiting Woman for Eight Years in Lucknow

A disturbing case of alleged deception and sexual exploitation has emerged from Lucknow, where a woman has accused a man of concealing his identity and maintaining a relationship with her for nearly eight years under false pretences.

According to the complaint filed on April 5 at the Ghazi Pur Police Station, the accused, identified as Ali Sheikh, allegedly introduced himself as “Aman Singh” when they first met around eight years ago. The woman stated that the relationship gradually developed, during which he reportedly promised marriage and engaged in a physical relationship with her on that basis.

The complainant further alleged that when she later raised the issue of marriage, the accused began to evade the topic and ultimately refused. Upon discovering his true identity, she confronted him, following which he allegedly attempted to placate her with assurances of marriage, including claims that he would marry her through legal and religious means.

However, the situation reportedly escalated when the accused began threatening her, including warnings of making explicit videos public. The woman also alleged that on April 1, he lured her to a hotel in Indira Nagar under the pretext of discussion, where he sexually assaulted her.

Police officials stated that the accused is employed as a carpenter and that a case has been registered under multiple sections, including charges related to rape, assault, criminal intimidation, and sexual exploitation. The victim’s statement is expected to be recorded before a magistrate as part of the ongoing legal process.

Authorities have launched a search operation to apprehend the आरोपी, while investigations are underway to examine all aspects of the case.
