Nurse Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances in Udaipur; Doctor Detained

Udaipur: A woman nurse was found dead under suspicious circumstances outside government residential quarters at a community health centre in Udaipur, prompting a police investigation into possible murder or suicide.

The deceased has been identified as Anita Meena, a resident of Sikar district, who was working as an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) at a community health centre in Rajpura. According to police, her body was discovered on the staircase of government quarters designated for doctors in the Kanod area.

Preliminary findings have raised concerns, with Station House Officer Hukam Singh stating that injury marks were found on the victim’s neck, indicating the possibility of foul play. Based on the condition of the body, authorities have classified the death as unnatural and initiated a detailed probe.

Police have registered a case against a doctor and taken him into custody for questioning. Investigators are examining allegations made by the victim’s family, who have accused the doctor of murder.

Sources indicate that the nurse and the doctor were in a relationship, and she had reportedly been staying with him in recent days. This aspect is also being closely examined as part of the investigation.

Officials confirmed that all angles, including homicide and suicide, are being thoroughly explored. Further forensic analysis and witness statements are expected to play a crucial role in determining the exact cause and circumstances of the death.

The investigation remains ongoing.
