Kochi: Najeeb, the main accused in the case of forging documents for organ donation, has been arrested. They have cheated many ordinary and poor people.
Najeeb was arrested in Ghaziabad following a location-based investigation based on a tip-off. He will be flown to Kochi today. The police have found that the group led by Najeeb has been involved in organ trafficking by making forged documents for the past three years.
The police said that by bringing Najeeb to Kochi and questioning him further, more clarity will emerge about the organ trafficking mafia and the extent to which forged documents were forged.
Seven people, including Najeeb's wife, have been arrested in the case so far. The other accused were arrested from Kollam and Ernakulam districts.
