Paris: The friendly moments between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during the G7 summit in Evian-les-Bains, France, are making waves on social media again.
The two shook hands and shared a friendly greeting just before preparing for a group photo with other world leaders, including US President Donald Trump, during the summit.
During this meeting, a video clip of Meloni telling Modi, "We are the most famous people on Instagram," has now gone viral. Meloni's response was when Modi mentioned their popularity on social media.
'Melody' became popular on social media after the India-Italy bilateral talks in 2023, combining the names of the Prime Ministers of both countries. The trend gained a lot of popularity when Prime Minister Modi gifted Parle's 'Melody' chocolate packet to Meloni during his visit to Rome in May 2025.
Meloni had also shared the video on her Instagram, describing it as "very, very good candy." Meloni had previously used this name when she shared a selfie with Modi in 2024 and when she shared a video titled 'Greetings from the Melody Team' during the G-7 summit in 2025.
