The Fourth Dose of Covid-19 Vaccine Is Expected To Be Approved For Use In Ireland, Said Leo Varadkar

The Deputy Prime Minister said that this should not be considered as the last epidemic we will face in our lifetime. He said Ireland had the lowest mortality rate in Europe and the world. As a community, we did most of the right thing. But he said he did not think everything was done right.

The fourth dose of Covid-19 Vaccine is expected to be approved for use in Ireland, said Leo Varadkar, Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise. He said the dose was not for everyone and the government was waiting for advice.

. "Whether to start a fourth-dose program, especially for the elderly who are medically debilitated." "We are considering, and Varadkar said he thinks the vaccine program should start in the middle of the year before winter.

Varadkar said what is happening now across Europe is the second wave of Omicron. Varadkar said he did not think the Covid restrictions would have to be reinstated.

Varadkar said the commemoration of those who died of Covid was at a time when we were convinced that the pandemic was not over. It is a matter of concern that more than 1,000 people are being hospitalized with Covid. But there is no need to panic.

The government is closely monitoring the situation. People need to make sure they take boosters and third doses. About half of Covid victims are hospitalized. This should be taken seriously.

Leo Varadkar also said the government would investigate the Covid pandemic in Ireland later this year. Varadkar said it has not been decided what kind of investigation it will be.
