Almost every town and city in Ireland will host the St. Patrick's Day Parade once again after a two - year delay.
St. Patrick's Day is one of the most important national holidays in Ireland and a great opportunity to experience the best of Irish culture. The theme celebrations will extend for a few days beyond the weekend near March 17th. During the festival, all the cities of the country host parades, festivals and other festivities.
The St. Patrick's Festival and Parade (March 16–20, 2022), Ireland's largest celebration, will no doubt make the Irish capital, Dublin, number one! The St. Patrick's Festival hosts a large parade through Dublin 'O'Connell Street every year in Dublin.
The National St. Patrick's Day Parade, which begins at 12 noon in Dublin, will be broadcast live on the RTÉ One RTÉ Player and streamed on RTÉ.ie. Millions of national and international spectators will flock to the streets of Dublin for exciting views.
Cork City: The theme of the Cork City Parade is 'Heroes: Ordinary People in Extraordinary Times'. The Cork Parade will begin at 1 pm on Thursday. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the coastal town of Kobe will be held from 3pm with markets, live entertainment and children’s events. From 7.30pm you will have a fireworks display for unforgettable views of the Kobe Harbor area.
Limerick: In the city of Limerick, visual artists such as Beau Bolg Spotlight Light Stage School, arostics, hit machine drummers and hundreds of local participants will gather at the Carnival of Color, Music and Sight from 12 noon. This year's theme is 'Billing and Identity'.
Waterford: The parade starts at 1pm and kicks off with a three-day festival in the city.
Sligo: Sligo's 50th St. Patrick's Day Parade kicks off at noon as part of the city's five-day festival. The parade will be bigger and better than ever. As well as five days of nightly entertainment, more floats will arrive for the parade based on fun, innovation and performance.
Kilkenny: St. Patrick's Day in Kilkenny will be held March 15–20, 2022. The small medieval city will amaze you with its castle and historic buildings, as well as a large parade at the St. Patrick's Day Festival Kilkenny. You will see American marching bands, attend workshops, enjoy free events with the whole family, enjoy live Irish music played by national and international artists at the Kilkenny Trafest, and have trade fests.
Galway: Galway's St. Patrick's Day March 17–20, 2022, Galway is another major city in western Ireland that attracts tourists. But it does not attract foreigners much. Most of the people you meet at pubs in the city are Irish people from all over the country. Therefore, Galway is perfect for those looking for a party that is completely authentic.
Wicklow: Wicklow, Bray is celebrating as a city center, and the festivities begin on Wednesday and end on Sunday. There will also be fun fairs, treasure hunts, workshops, live music, historical debates and storytelling throughout the week, as well as a vintage car show, Irish dance and face painting to refresh St. Patrick's memory.
Kerry: At Killarney in Kerry, this year's parade will be celebrated as a color pay. Everything will promote sustainability and be part of the celebrations. There will also be a ‘Kids Fun Zone’ area on March 17 from 2pm to 6pm with disco and games. There is a ‘Paddy’s Park Run’ on Saturday for those who want to be active on the weekends.
