Today marks the beginning of St. Patrick's Day celebrations 🍀🍀
Celebrations are taking place across the country today to mark St. Patrick's Day, the first day the event has been celebrated in public since the launch of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In Dublin, the traditional St. Patrick's Day Parade takes place in the city center between 12 noon and 2.30 pm, while a festival quarter is set in Collins Barracks.
The theme of this year's Festival is 'Connections', which says it invites Ireland and the world to reconnect through art, culture and heritage.
Almost every town and city in Ireland will host the St. Patrick's Day Parade once again after a two - year delay. St. Patrick's Day is one of the most important national holidays in Ireland and a great opportunity to experience the best of Irish culture. The theme celebrations will extend for a few days beyond the weekend near March 17th. During the festival, all the cities of the country host parades, festivals and other festivities.
