Sligo: INMO International Nurses Section Chairperson Jibin Madattil Soman presented a resolution calling on to grant a temporary visa to work as a healthcare assistant to an overseas nurse who is unable to pass the aptitude test and adaptation program for NMBI registration time in Ireland
The request was made at the Annual Delegates Conference of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organization in Sligo on May 4, 5, and 6 by Toyosi Autoyobi, Secretary , International Nursing Section, and Chairperson, Jibin.
This demand has been raised as a temporary relief until many overseas nurses find it difficult to return without registration, until they have another chance to register. Contact the Department of Justice for the necessary steps to obtain a temporary work visa
The Executive Council assured that it would be accepted. Minister of Health Stephen Donnelly also attended the conference.
