The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Monday said that two of the 15 passengers injured in a serious mid-air turbulence incident on SpiceJet's Mumbai-Durgapur flight, passengers are being treated in the intensive care unit. SpiceJet officials had earlier said that eight of those admitted to the hospital had been discharged. The aviation regulator said it was investigating the flight crew, the plane's engineer and those in charge of SpiceJet's maintenance center. Earlier, it was reported that a disciplinary team had been deployed to look into the incident. Currently, the plane involved in Sunday's incident has landed in Kolkata and the rest is still operational, the DGCA said.
