It eliminates all night safes and fall safes, which means they won't have any cash, bills, coins, checks, currency, or cashier's checks.
The decision means that beginning in September, cash services will no longer be available in towns like Dingle, Abbeyfeale, Birr, Cahir, Gort, and Youghal as well as Wicklow Town.
According to AIB, the adjustment is being made as part of a €40 million investment programme and to strengthen its bond with An Post.
It will also be taken away if there is an ATM outside the branch where services are changing.
In order to maintain a branch in 95% of the locations that Ulster Bank and KBC leave, IB has the greatest branch network of any bank.
However, the abrupt termination of cash services is sure to cause serious worries. Consumers and businesses may have switched to cashless transactions, but according to the central bank, cash is still necessary for social and economic inclusion.
