CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA Apple today introduced iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, featuring two sizes — 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches — in a sophisticated design with impressive camera upgrades and groundbreaking new safety capabilities.
iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus take stunning photos and video with a powerful camera system featuring new Main and front TrueDepth cameras, the Ultra Wide camera for unique perspectives, and Photonic Engine — an enhanced image pipeline. Both models include the A15 Bionic chip with a 5-core GPU, which offers incredible performance and efficiency for demanding workloads, and is designed with privacy and security built in.
iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus introduce critical safety capabilities such as Crash Detection and Emergency SOS via satellite, a first in the industry. And with amazing battery life, industry-leading durability features, and super-fast 5G, this iPhone lineup is more advanced than ever before. iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will be available in midnight, blue, starlight, purple, and (PRODUCT)RED1 finishes. Pre-orders begin Friday, September 9, with availability for iPhone 14 beginning Friday, September 16, and availability for iPhone 14 Plus beginning Friday, October 7.
Apart from iPhone 14 series, Apple also launched AirPods Pro 2, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch Ultra and Apple Watch SE. However, the main focus is the iPhone 14, which is now available in four models: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Unfortunately, Apple did not produce the iPhone 14 mini model due to sluggish sales in the first quarter. As a result, Apple decided to introduce the iPhone 14 Plus with a 6.7-inch display and powerful performance. So far, the four devices of the iPhone 14 series are the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
iPhone 14 series Launch: Apple iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus specifications
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will have similar configurations except for the display size. The device will be available in five color variants - Midnight, Starlight Silver, Purple, Red and Blue.
The 6.1-inch HDR display on the iPhone 14 uses OLED technology for the sharpest images. The A15 Bionic chip in the phone is said to provide the highest battery life ever seen in an iPhone. The 12-megapixel front- and 12-megapixel back-facing cameras on the high-speed phone will have been upgraded.
iPhone 14 will go on sale on September 16 and cost $799 (approximately Rs 63,630) which is much similar to the predecessor's (iPhone 13) price.
iPhone 14 Plus has the same specifications as iPhone 14 and a 6.7-inch HDR display. Battery life will be comparable. High-performance features like thermal performance optimization for gaming, iCloud, low-light camera performance, and bigger sensors are advantages of both smartphones.
The iPhone 14 Plus is slightly more expensive, priced at a base price of $899 (roughly Rs. 71,605) and won't be available until October 2022.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max
For the optimum experience, the iPhone 14 Pro will have a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a 6.7-inch always-on display. It has a 6GB RAM and an A16 Bionic processor for quick performance. The enhanced 48MP quad-pixel sensor, the largest ever found on an iPhone, is the newest addition.
