TORONTO: Madurageetam, the favorite Malayalam FM station of Canadian Malayalis, enters its 18th year. Madurageetham FM Radio was started in September 2004 by IT expert Vijay Sethumadhavan (CEO and Producer) and his wife Mridula Menon (Creative Director) who is looking for a job in the insurance sector, for the Malayalees who migrated to Canada at a time when there was no opportunity to listen to any Malayalam programs before the advent of social media and podcasting. .
Madurageetham has become the most favorite radio station of Malayalees by providing memories of the country, local specialties and songs to the Toronto Malayalees, events happening in the Malayalees community in Canada, world news and various programs according to the era and competitions. Madurageetham plays an important role in promoting the Canadian Malayalees' Surgavasanas. Madurageetam is a platform for the community to get to know the young artists who are immigrating to Canada. Madurageetha is the media partner for various programs held in the community.
The show "Spotlight" airs on Saturday mornings from 8.30 am to 10.30 am, on Sundays from 10.00 am to 10.30 am and Sunday Club from 8.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
