As of September 25th, 54,771 Personal Public Services numbers (PPSNs) have been issued to individuals from Ukraine under the Temporary Protection Directive, an EU directive granting protection to those displaced by the war.
According to the Central Statistics Office, just over 1,000 refugees arrived in the State in the week prior to figures being collated. RTÉ previously reported that it is expected 60,000 Ukrainians will be in the country by the end of the year.

With 1,558 arrivals in both locations, Killarney, County Kerry, and Dublin's north inner city currently host the most Ukrainian residents.
Ennistymon, in County Clare, has the highest Local Electoral Area (LEA) arrival rate.
Women who are 20 years old or older make up 46% of arrivals thus far, while people who are 19 years old or younger make up 35% of arrivals.
35% of those entering were single parents with children according to registration. 19,121 people fell into this category, which is the largest number.
According to the CSO, 67% of those who arrived had gone to Intreo Public Employment Services-organized employment support activities. It was highlighted that for people entering from Ukraine, having a strong command of the English language presents a significant obstacle to finding work.
14,209 of the 19,589 visitors that came to an Intreo event had past jobs that were recorded.
In the group of 13,878 people with the greatest degree of education, 67% had attained an NFQ level of 7 or higher.
