UK: Former Prime Minister and Chancellor Boris Johnson and Ms Mordaunt withdrew from the election, securing the support of 193 MPs and securing the post of Indian-origin Prime Minister. The Conservative Party has 357 members, of which at least 100 can contest for the post of Prime Minister.
Sunak will become the UK's first Hindu Prime Minister and the first and youngest Prime Minister of Asian heritage. The 42-year-old Rishi is expected to take over as prime minister on Monday. Commons leader Ms Mordaunt withdrew from the race as she struggled to secure 100 nominations from Tory MPs by 2pm. Boris Johnson has abandoned his own bid for a comeback and will ditch the online ballot of Conservative members who rejected him for Miss Truss. Liz ran against Truss for the post of UK Prime Minister last month. Liz Truss became Prime Minister after defeating Rishi Sunak, but resigned after 45 decades.

He is the first leading politician to be on the UK's richest list. According to reports, Rishi Sunak along with his wife Aksatha Murthy have a net worth of 730 million pounds.
Boris Johnson said in a statement that he is ready to provide all kinds of support to the winners. Meanwhile, Rishi started his official campaign with a declaration that he wanted to unite the country and straighten out the economy.
Britain's Home Secretary Suella Braverman, who resigned recently, has come out in support of Sunak. We need unity, stability and efficiency. Rishi is the only suitable candidate at this stage. Suella's response was that she was proud to support him.
