UK : British who ruled India for 200 years will now be ruled by Indian Rishi Sunak; Every Indian can be proud of Rishi's success

UK: Former Prime Minister and Chancellor Boris Johnson and Ms Mordaunt withdrew from the election, securing the support of 193 MPs and securing the post of Indian-origin Prime Minister. The Conservative Party has 357 members, of which at least 100 can contest for the post of Prime Minister.

Rishi Sunak was born in Southampton, UK to a National Health Service (NHS) general practitioner father and a pharmacist mother. Sunak's ancestors are from Punjab. Graduated from Oxford University and Stanford. In 2009, he married Akshata Murthy, daughter of Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy. Has two daughters. Anoushka and Krishna.

Elected Member of Parliament for Richmond, Yorkshire in 2015. In February 2020, he was appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer, a cabinet post. He is the first leading politician to be on the UK's richest list. According to reports, Rishi Sunak along with his wife Aksatha Murthy have a net worth of 730 million pounds.

Boris Johnson said in a statement that he is ready to provide all kinds of support to the winners. Meanwhile, Rishi started his official campaign with a declaration that he wanted to unite the country and straighten out the economy.

Britain's Home Secretary Suella Braverman, who resigned recently, has come out in support of Sunak. We need unity, stability and efficiency. Rishi is the only suitable candidate at this stage. Suella's response was that she was proud to support him.
