Linking of PAN with Aadhaar is MANDATORY
The last date for State Bank of India (SBI) customers to link their PAN card with Aadhaar was 31st of last month. But for those who haven't updated yet, here's the extended date again. State Bank of India customers are required to have their PAN card linked to their Aadhaar card by March 31, 2023.

As per section 139AA of the Income Tax Act 1961, it was mandatory to link your Aadhaar number with Permanent Account Number (PAN) by 31 Mar 2022. In order to mitigate the inconvenience to taxpayers, an additional window of opportunity has been provided by the Income Tax Department to link your PAN with Aadhaar by 31 Mar 2023. However, a nominal fee would be applicable, depending on the date on which such linking is done:

By 30 Jun‘22 | ₹500 |
After 30 Jun’22 | ₹1,000 |
As per the Government Guidelines, the PAN provided by you against your SBI Credit Card will be deemed inoperative from 1 Apr 2023, in case it is not linked to your Aadhaar by 31 Mar 2023.
Please note that your PAN needs to be operational in order to enjoy uninterrupted services on your credit card. Hence, link your PAN with Aadhaar immediately.
