Dublin Fire Brigade received 234 calls on Halloween yesterday.
From midnight on October 31 to midnight last night, the fire service received 234 calls reporting fire-related incidents. Of these, 169 were Halloween-related fires.
Yesterday evening, firefighters responded to a car fire in Finglas. The fire department said fireworks were being used in the area creating a dangerous environment.

Firefighters in another location saved one person from a house fire in Ballymun. Crews from the Dublin Fire Brigade put out two other house fires in Cabra and Clondalkin.
Additionally, calls regarding the localised floods in Raheny and Glenageary were taken.
The four Dublin local authorities' vigorous bonfire stockpile collecting drive, according to Dublin City Council, helped reduce the number of fire calls last night.

The Council further stated that no injuries were reported last night despite a little amount of anti-social behaviour directed against firefighters and paramedics.
The Council stated, "We appreciate the neighborhood-focused approach folks took to their celebrations and those that heeded our safety advise offered in the weeks preceding up to Halloween.
