Famous American burger chain Wendy's has said it is "actively seeking" franchise candidates as it plans to open in Ireland.
Irish franchise candidates must have "strong operations experience, local development expertise, ambition to grow quickly and a proven track record of growing brands in Ireland to help Wendy’s reach its full potential".
With more than 7,000 restaurants worldwide, Wendy’s is looking to expand using its franchise model, following recent success in the UK.
In June 2021, Wendy's reentered the UK. The company presently runs 10 of the brand's total 25 restaurants in the UK. It recently announced ambitions to expand to Yorkshire and Lincolnshire with the help of its first franchisee to open a classic Wendy's restaurant in the country.
The business is "actively constructing a pipeline of conventional restaurants in the northwest with a concentration on the Liverpool and Greater Manchester areas" in addition to developing franchises.
Quality is at the heart of everything we do, including our food and our people, according to Wendy's chief development officer and president of worldwide operations, Abigail Pringle. Building enduring connections with franchisees in Ireland who want to grow with us, share our values, and reflect the communities in which we operate is a priority as we continue to widen our global reach.
We want to provide our extensive menu of mouthwatering menu options, including our renowned square hamburgers cooked with fresh beef patties and served hot off the grill, said Ms. Pringle. We are committed to offering high-quality, great-tasting cuisine.
In order to fulfil his "unwavering dedication to deliver fresh, high-quality cuisine, at a reasonable price, in a friendly environment," Wendy's founder Dave Thomas founded the first Wendy's restaurant in 1969.
The Columbus, Ohio, USA-based company's quick-service restaurants are recognised for their cooked-to-order square hamburgers, freshly created salads, and other iconic dishes like chilli, baked potatoes, and the Frosty dessert.
