Over 1.34 million passengers travelled in Ireland from abroad in November, bringing the number of foreign arrivals into the State back to pre-pandemic levels.
The Central Statistics Office (CSO) reports that compared to November 2021, arrivals last month were up 70%, and they were also better than November 2019, when 1.35 million individuals entered the State.
1.29 million arrivals were due to air travel last month, compared to 47,600 arrivals due to maritime transport.
Continental European routes saw the most traffic (643,400 passengers), followed by transatlantic (523,00) and cross-channel routes (122,500).
The UK (521,900) was the country with the most arrivals, followed by Spain (160,300) and the US (112,600).
