New Delhi: An anti-Modi attack by a British diplomat who was jealous of the developmental changes and governance being carried out by the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Modi government in India rather than in the UK.
The diplomat ignited a new controversy by taking the old report of 2002 for someone and selling it as episodes.
Jack Straw, who was a British expatriate during the riots, said that then Chief Minister Narendra Modi had a direct role in the 2002 genocide in Gujarat. In an interview with The Wire, Karanthapar stated that the High Commission had given a report to the British government in this regard.
According to Jack Straw, on 27 February, 2002, Narendra Modi, in a meeting with top police officers, instructed them not to interfere in the riots. A former diplomatic official said that the riots were directly led by Modi and that was the general perception.
The report he received was that ethnic cleansing had taken place and not ordinary murders. He also said that he was very concerned about it. However, he is in unwanted fear which is not so long.
The MEA responded to this statement and questioned the inquiry report. "How do I get access to it? It's a 20-year-old report. Why am I jumping into it now? Just because Jack Straw says it, how do they legitimize it,
"I heard words like investigation, investigation. There's a reason we use the word colonial mindset. We don't use words loosely. What investigation? They were diplomats here ... investigation, they're running the country. I do. I don't agree with that character," the MEA spokesperson s" MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said.
