"UK ETA" INCLUDING INDIANS WITHOUT IRISH PASSPORTS, INCLUDED !!!!!!!!!!!!

UK: All travellers – including from the EU and US – will require an ETA by 2025.

The UK is embarking on the biggest overhaul of border rules in decades. Those wishing to visit the UK will now need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for digital pre-approval before arrival. That includes EU, US, Australian and Canadian citizens. British and Irish citizens and permanent residents are exempt from the electronic travel authorization scheme.

An Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is a new requirement for people who do not need a visa to come to the UK. This gives you permission to travel to the UK and is electronically linked to your passport.

It will allow you to:

  • You can come to the UK for up to 6 months for tourism, visiting family and friends, business or study
  • Creative Worker can come to the UK for up to 3 months on a concessionary visa
  • Transport via UK

Who needs ETA?? An ETA is not required if you:

A number of people, including many Indians, are still permanent residents in Ireland, although most of these do not hold Irish passports. They are now in a state of uncertainty and if the decision is against them, they can cross the border only by getting a visa. Reason ðŸ‘‰ More information ???? Not known. Only with more information will it be clear whether the much-vaunted UK ETA is useful for Indians, including those without Irish passports.

Who will not need an ETA

You will not need an ETA if you have either:

  • a British or Irish passport
  • permission to live, work or study in the UK

Citizens of countries not eligible for ETA

Citizens of all other countries that do not have a visa-free agreement with the UK must apply for another type of UK visa that applies instead. In most cases, it is necessary to visit a local embassy or consulate for the United Kingdom.

This process is slower than applying for an ETA online. Depending on the type of visa and the applicant's situation, a decision can take up to 3 weeks (not including delays). Therefore, visa applications should be made well in advance of the departure date.

How to apply

You need to apply on the UK ETA app or online at GOV.UK.

You will usually receive a decision within 3 working days, but you may receive a decision sooner.

Additional checks may take longer than 3 working days.
