A property dealer with several criminal cases was shot while sitting in a restaurant with three others in Pune. Then many people joined together with sickles to ensure death.
A 31-year-old man was attacked and shot dead inside a restaurant in Pune on Saturday night. The brutal murder was caught on CCTV camera inside Jagadamba Hotel near Indapur on Pune-Solapur highway. Avinash Dhanve, who had multiple criminal cases, was killed, so police said the killing could be a continuation of a gang war. "We have identified eight assailants through CCTV footage and teams have been mobilized to nab them," said a senior officer of Pune Rural Police, adding that Dhanve, was a property dealer.

Two men shot at Dhanvek and then four men with machetes hacked him to death. The CCTV footage shows two assailants coming to where the deceased was sitting with three others. Dhanve was talking on his phone when the assailants approached from behind.
2 The two assailants took out guns and started firing, while the other three people at the table were shocked and left their seats. Although more people joined the attack on Dhanve, the assailants did not drive the others away. Dhanve was hacked to death by six men who entered the restaurant with a sickle and a machete.
Other guests of the restaurant were seen running out, while the assailants also fled the spot, leaving Dhanve's body lying on the ground. Pune Rural SP Pankaj Deshmukh said the incident took place around 8.00 pm, Dhanve was a known criminal and the murder was a mob feud, the victim died on the spot and the accused will be in jail soon.
