Maharashtra and Jharkhand to the polling booth; October 29 is the last day to submit nomination

Delhi: Maharashtra and Jharkhand to the polling booth. Elections to the Maharashtra Assembly will be held on November 20. Elections in Maharashtra are being held in a single phase. Elections in Jharkhand are in two phases. Chief Election Commission Rajeev Kumar said in a press conference that voting will be held in Jharkhand from November 13 to 20.

October 29 is the last day to submit nomination papers. Counting of votes in Maharashtra and Jharkhand will be held on the same day. The results of both the states will be known on November 23. 

Elections will be held for a total of 288 seats in Maharashtra. There are a total of 9.63 crore voters in the state. Elections will be held for a total of 81 constituencies in Jharkhand. The Chief Election Commissioner also said that 2.6 crore voters will cast their ballot in Jharkhand.

Meanwhile, the Chief Election Commission rejected Consin's allegation of vote rigging in Haryana. Rajeev Kumar said that the elections were conducted in a good manner in Haryana and the Centre. 

No re-polling had to be conducted anywhere in Haryana and Jammu central elections. There were no incidents of violence anywhere. In both the states, the people gave great support. The Chief Election Commission also stated that the election in Jammu was legendary.
