An Australian Indian migrant youth met a tragic end in Perth. The accident occurred at 11.15pm Perth time on Sunday night. Mr. Ashil died instantly after a car and a bike collided on Nicholson Road in Canning Vale.
The deceased is Ashil Royal (24) Panakkakkuzhi, son of Royal Thomas and Sheeba, natives of Theekoi, Kottayam, Kerala who had lived in Dublin, Ireland for about a decade and then migrated to Australia and settled in Canning Vale, Perth. Ash's family migrated to Australia 12 years ago after living as an expatriate in Ireland for about 10 years.
The accident occurred on December 22 at around 11.15pm Perth time when a car and a motorcycle collided on Nicholson Road in Canning Vale. Ashil was riding the bike. The accident took place near the young man's home. Ashil and the car driver were taken to the Royal Perth Hospital, but Ashil, the biker, died at the scene, an Australian media outlet reported, citing hospital sources.
A few years ago, a video of Ashil, who had completed his training at the Perth Flying Club, obtaining his pilot's license and taking his family on a plane went viral. His parents and brother were back home for the holidays when the tragic news hit them. The family is trying to return to Australia after hearing the sad news.
