Amidst the controversy, BJP State Vice President Adv. B. Gopalakrishnan publicly expressed his support for MLA Prathibha. Gopalakrishnan condemned the alleged targeting of the MLA and her family, emphasizing that such actions are unwarranted and unjust.

Adv. B. Gopalakrishnan’s remarks have added a new dimension to the issue, reportedly causing unease among CPM state leaders. He alleged that the marijuana case involving Prathibha’s son was either a deliberate setup or mishandled with the knowledge of the CPM leadership.
"Cyberattacks targeting a mother and public representative are unacceptable," Gopalakrishnan stated in a Facebook post, condemning the acts as unjust.

"I strongly oppose the malicious cyberattacks aimed at mentally harassing Adv. Prathibha MLA. The evident communist sadism behind these actions is both unjust and reprehensible. She is not just a legislator but also a mother and a woman, and such targeted attacks are deplorable."
