Mockery Over "Sangam Water"
Taking a jibe at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s claim that the water of the Sangam in Prayagraj is pure, Akhilesh Yadav sarcastically suggested that BJP leaders should be sent this water so they can cook, bathe, and drink it. He even proposed that bottles of this water be kept in the state assembly and distributed to MLAs, emphasizing that the Chief Minister is unaware of the bacteria present in it.
A "Hollow" Budget With No Real Impact
Akhilesh Yadav further ridiculed the BJP government’s claims that this is Uttar Pradesh’s biggest budget, comparing it to the sound of an empty drum—loud but meaningless. He argued that the budget has failed to reach the common people and that it offers nothing substantial. Additionally, he accused the Yogi administration of contradicting itself by frequently using Urdu words in its speeches while opposing the language elsewhere. Citing examples like kuprasiddh (notorious), hads (incident), jaan (life), and haseen (beautiful), he mocked the government’s stance on language. He also challenged BJP leaders to translate English-origin words like gear, cricket, metro, and station into Hindi.
A Budget That Fails Farmers and Women
Highlighting the plight of farmers and women, Yadav alleged that the budget has shattered their expectations. He pointed out that the budget lacks concrete schemes for public welfare, with people still waiting to hear about actual benefits. Even BJP ministers and MLAs, he claimed, are dissatisfied because their departments have received no significant allocations.
Asserting that the BJP has failed to deliver on its election promises, Akhilesh Yadav concluded that the next and final budget of the Yogi government will be followed by a new administration under his leadership.
