In a video message, Lt. Cdr. Dilna conveyed her wishes, stating, "To all the strong women in my life and around the world, wishing you a very happy International Women's Day. Today, we celebrate our strength and resilience. Each of you has inspired and motivated me, making a significant impact on my life. Let us remember that our voices, our stories, and our presence matter. Never let anyone undermine you. Stand together—independent, respectful, and supportive. As I sail alongside Roopa, we remind ourselves of the unbreakable bond of women's friendship and strength."

Echoing similar sentiments, Lt. Cdr. Roopa addressed the role of women in her journey, saying, "To all the mothers, aunts, friends, and colleagues—you have made a difference in my life, igniting a spark that has driven me to chase my dreams. You have given me the strength and courage to grow from a girl into a woman, breaking stereotypes along the way. Remember your worth and your potential. Prioritize yourself, and everything else will fall into place."

The Navika Sagar Parikrama II is a landmark initiative, undertaken by two women officers of the Indian Navy, symbolizing the evolving role of women in maritime exploration. The expedition, which commenced in October 2024, is a testament to the Navy’s commitment to women's empowerment and leadership in challenging domains.

According to an official statement from the Indian Navy, "Lt. Cdr. Dilna and Lt. Cdr. Roopa have braved storms and navigated treacherous waters, carrying the dreams of a nation. Their courageous journey exemplifies the spirit of womanhood and the heights that women can achieve. Their efforts will continue to inspire thousands of Indian women who aspire to create history."

On February 18, INSV Tarini reached Port Stanley, successfully completing the third and most demanding phase of the Navika Sagar Parikrama II. This segment of the voyage marked a significant milestone, as the vessel encountered three cyclones and passed through Point Nemo, the Oceanic Pole of Inaccessibility. Additionally, the officers navigated the perilous waters of the Drake Passage before crossing Cape Horn—one of the most formidable maritime routes in the world.

Continuing their journey, the officers departed from Port Stanley on March 6, setting sail for Cape Town. Their expedition remains a historic endeavor, reinforcing the role of women in maritime excellence and global exploration.
