A heartbreaking reminder of the cost of hate.. As the country continues to reel from the terror attack, the Indian community in Ireland has condemned the terror attack and expressed their solidarity

Dublin:  As the country continues to reel from the April 22 terror attack on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian community in Ireland has condemned the terror attack and expressed their solidarity.

Members of the Indian community in Ireland laid wreaths and held prayer meetings for the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. They held vigils and prayer meetings in memory of the victims in the Dublin area, where the Indian Embassy is located, and elsewhere across the country.

In the Dublin area on Sunday morning, more than 1,000 people, including local politicians, gathered for a "silent vigil" to honor the victims of the terror attack.

This gentle flower, often found on Irish memorials, “connects traditions through quiet solidarity in prayer for the innocent lives lost, adding my voice to the global call for peace,” I signed the book of condolences.

"I have great respect for Shashank and the other organizers for creating this deeply moving space where Irish lilies and Indian prayers intertwine to say that hate will never win," she wrote on social media. "Om Shanti. May peace prevail. The floral tributes and prayers carried our common hopes," she wrote.

"The gathering served as a powerful reminder of unity, compassion, and a collective determination to uphold peace. Participants prayed, reflected, and reaffirmed their commitment to a future built on unity and resilience."

"Today, the Indian Irish community came together not only to mourn, but also to renew our commitment to a world where hate has no home. The pain of the Pahalgam attacks reminds us that unity and compassion are our most powerful weapons against violence."
