Anant Ambani Concludes 180-km Spiritual Pilgrimage to Dwarkadhish Temple Ahead of 30th Birthday

Jamnagar/Dwarka, April 7, 2025 — Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, concluded a 180-kilometre padyatra from Jamnagar to the sacred Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka on Sunday, marking a deeply personal and spiritual milestone ahead of his 30th birthday. His mother, Nita Ambani, and wife, Radhika Merchant Ambani, were by his side throughout the journey, offering their support and solidarity.

Commencing his pilgrimage on March 29, Anant undertook the arduous nine-day walk as an expression of devotion to Lord Krishna. Walking between six to seven hours daily and covering nearly 20 kilometres each day, he immersed himself in spiritual reflection, chanting the Hanuman Chalisa and verses from the Sundarkand.

What makes this journey particularly remarkable is that Anant lives with multiple chronic health conditions, including Cushing’s Syndrome—a rare hormonal disorder—alongside morbid obesity and asthma. Yet, for him, the pilgrimage was a testament to inner strength: a pursuit where faith triumphed over fear, discipline overcame discomfort, and devotion transcended physical challenge.

His journey drew widespread support from local communities along the route, with hundreds joining him in solidarity, transforming the walk into a collective spiritual experience.

Anant Ambani is well known for his philanthropic dedication to India’s religious and cultural heritage. He has actively contributed to the restoration and upkeep of several revered temples across the country, including Kolkata’s Kalighat Temple, the Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara, and the Kamakhya Temple in Assam. He also serves as a trustee of the Char Dham temples of Badrinath and Kedarnath in Uttarakhand.

Far beyond a ceremonial gesture, Anant’s padyatra reflects a deep-rooted commitment to his personal spiritual values. It is a profound affirmation that for him, faith is not only a guiding force but a source of purpose, resilience, and transcendence.

In an era of material excess, his walk to Dwarka stands as a reminder that devotion remains a powerful compass in navigating life’s journey—one step, one prayer, and one act of faith at a time.
