Canadian broadcaster CBC News also reported a fatal incident in Clarence-Rockland, noting that one individual had died and another was arrested. However, it remains unconfirmed whether this is the same case referenced by the Indian Embassy.
According to a report by Radio-Canada citing the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the stabbing occurred near Lalonde Street just before 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Authorities have not yet disclosed the exact cause of death or whether charges will be filed against the suspect.
The OPP has also alerted local residents in Rockland to expect an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues.
