New Delhi – A shocking incident unfolded late Thursday night in southeast Delhi’s Bhogal area, where actor Huma Qureshi’s cousin, Asif Qureshi, was fatally stabbed during a heated altercation over a parking issue. The incident was captured on CCTV footage.
The video shows a group of individuals gathered in a narrow lane around 11 p.m., where a dispute erupted between Asif and two others. According to police sources, Asif sustained a deep stab wound to the chest and collapsed on the spot. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The accused, identified as Ujjwal (19) and Gautam (18), both residents of the same locality, were taken into custody shortly after the incident.
Family members of the deceased allege that the confrontation stemmed from a long-standing parking dispute. They claim the accused had previously engaged in altercations with Asif over the same matter and accused them of acting with intent and premeditation.
Asif’s uncle, Saleem Qureshi—father of actor Huma Qureshi—stated that the fatal attack began after the two men parked their scooter directly in front of Asif’s residence.
A case has been registered under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Hazrat Nizamuddin police station. Authorities have sent the body for post-mortem examination, and further investigation is underway.
