Pune Police have registered a case against a 42-year-old woman for allegedly sexually assaulting a man, recording obscene photos and videos of him, and later blackmailing him for money. The accused has been identified as Gauri Pralhad Wanjale. According to police, the incidents occurred between mid-November 2024 and October 2025.

The case was filed by a 47-year-old man, who approached the Kothrud Police Station after months of alleged harassment and extortion.
How the Incident Began
According to the complaint, the victim first met Wanjale during a family visit to Tuljapur on November 7, 2024. The accused allegedly befriended him by claiming a “brother-sister” bond and began visiting his home frequently, gaining the trust of his family.
Wanjale then allegedly convinced the victim’s wife that she was planning a family trip to Kashi Vishwanath, insisting that the complainant should accompany her as a “brother.” Trusting her, the victim’s wife agreed.
Alleged Assault and Blackmail
During the trip, the accused allegedly administered intoxicating substances to the victim and subsequently sexually assaulted him. The complaint further states that she took several explicit photographs of him during the assault.
She then allegedly forced the victim to stay in Varanasi for three days, threatening to misuse the photographs if he resisted.
After returning to Pune, Wanjale allegedly began demanding ₹2 lakh from the victim and even proposed marriage. She allegedly threatened to circulate the obscene images and videos on social media if he refused to comply.
Unable to tolerate the continued threats and harassment, the victim finally lodged a complaint with the police.
Police Statement
Senior Police Inspector Sandeep Deshmane of Kothrud Police Station confirmed that a case has been registered.
“It is too early to comment on the matter before the investigation is complete. We are conducting a thorough inquiry, and action will be taken accordingly,” he told to the media
