India's Tejas fighter jet crashes during a performance at Dubai Air Show
The accident occurred shortly after the first round of rehearsals had been completed. One of the planes crashed while performing a solo performance after a group performance.
The plane, which had flown high and lost control, crashed straight down. The air show was temporarily halted as a result.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) said in a statement that the pilot has been confirmed dead. The IAF has also ordered a judicial inquiry to determine the cause of the crash.
