The wedding, which took place at 8 am on Thursday in the presence of close relatives and friends, was held as per Telugu customs. The royal wedding ceremonies were organized at the ITC Momentos Ekaya Hotel, spread over 106 acres in New Delhi. Apart from the Telugu rituals that took place in the morning, special ceremonies will also be held in the evening as per the customs of Rashmika's family background, Kodak (Koduva).
The haldi and mehendi ceremonies held ahead of the wedding were attended by celebrities from the film industry. Kalyani Priyadarshan and Shravya Varma have shared pictures of the celebrations on social media. A cricket match called 'Virosh Premier League' was also organized as part of the ceremony for friends and family. As part of the reception, Vijay Deverakonda's mother gifted Rashmika with gold bangles.
Only about 200 guests attended the wedding. To ensure privacy, mobile phones and cameras were strictly prohibited during the ceremony. Although journalists were not allowed at the wedding venue, the couple had made special arrangements for them at the hotel.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna on their wedding. In a message addressed to Vijay Deverakonda's parents, he extended his congratulations to both the families.
