Ice Cream Vendor Beheaded in Broad Daylight in Uttar Pradesh, Accused Arrested

In a gruesome incident that has sent shockwaves through the region, a 25-year-old ice cream vendor was brutally beheaded following a verbal altercation in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.

The victim, identified as Bablu, had reportedly visited Parsawal village as part of his routine to sell ice cream when a dispute broke out with the accused, Shankar Yadav, a 50-year-old resident of the area. According to police, the altercation began after Yadav objected to the vendor operating in the locality. When Bablu refused to leave, the argument escalated into a violent confrontation.

In a shocking turn of events, Yadav allegedly attacked the vendor with a sickle, fatally slitting his throat and severing his head in full public view, triggering panic among bystanders. Following the act, the accused reportedly carried the severed head to his residence.

Police officials, acting on information, quickly reached the scene and subsequently arrested the accused from his home. Authorities stated that Yadav was found cooking a meal at the time, with the severed head lying nearby. The weapon used in the crime has been recovered.

Superintendent of Police Arpit Vijayvargiya indicated that the accused may have been in a disturbed mental state during the incident. He also noted that the victim’s body had been placed near a fire, resulting in partial burns.

The police have launched a detailed investigation and are currently interrogating the accused. Further legal proceedings are underway as officials work to establish the full sequence of events behind the brutal killing.
