Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently holding a video conference with the chief ministers of all states, excluding those in election-bound regions, to review preparedness and response strategies amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
The meeting is focused on strengthening coordination and ensuring a unified approach under the “Team India” framework.
This marks the first instance of the Prime Minister convening a dedicated discussion with chief ministers on the West Asia situation, which escalated on February 28 following strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran. Iran has since responded with retaliatory attacks targeting Israel and several Gulf countries.
Chief ministers from states under the Model Code of Conduct have not been included in the deliberations due to election-related restrictions.
