Pratapgarh News: A deeply disturbing case has emerged from Pratapgarh district in Uttar Pradesh, where police investigations into the murder of a five-year-old girl have revealed shocking details.
The victim, identified as Aayisha, was allegedly killed by her own father in collusion with his second wife. Authorities say the crime was premeditated and carried out as part of a conspiracy driven by jealousy and domestic insecurity.
Child Taken Away from Mother
According to the police, Aayisha had been living with her biological mother, Asma Bano, in the Kotwali area of Pratapgarh. Around 10 to 12 days prior to the incident, her father, Niyazuddin, took her to Shobhipur village in the Mandhata region, claiming he wanted to introduce her to relatives.
Investigators later determined that this move was part of a calculated plan. Unaware of the danger she was being led into, the child was removed from her mother’s care and taken to her father’s residence.
Motive Rooted in Jealousy
During interrogation, police uncovered that Niyazuddin’s second wife, Sabia Bano, feared that if Aayisha continued to stay in the household, her husband might eventually reconcile with his first wife. Driven by insecurity and jealousy, she allegedly devised a plan to eliminate the child.
Police say the father was fully aware of the conspiracy and supported the plan.
Murder and Attempted Cover-Up
Two days before the body was discovered, Aayisha was reported missing. However, her body was later found under suspicious circumstances on the rooftop of the house. A post-mortem examination confirmed that the child had died due to suffocation.
According to police statements, Sabia Bano confessed to pressing the child’s mouth and nose, causing her to suffocate. After the murder, the body was placed on the rooftop in an apparent attempt to stage the incident as a disappearance. The accused allegedly pretended to search for the child in order to avoid suspicion.
Arrest and Legal Proceedings
Based on a complaint filed by the child’s biological mother and supported by evidence collected during the investigation, police arrested both accused near a madrasa in the Parasampur area.
Additional Superintendent of Police Shailendra Lal confirmed that the father had full knowledge of the conspiracy and assisted his wife in carrying out the crime. Both have been taken into custody and remanded to judicial custody.
The case has sent shockwaves through the local community, raising serious concerns about domestic violence, child safety, and familial betrayal.
