A shooting incident at a car showroom in Brampton, Canada, has triggered concern after an online post—attributed to an account claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang—allegedly took responsibility for the attack. However, authorities have not independently verified these claims.
The incident, reported in Brampton, has once again drawn attention to fears surrounding organized criminal networks operating across borders. According to preliminary reports, unidentified assailants opened fire at an auto dealership, after which a social media post began circulating claiming responsibility for the attack.
The post, reportedly published under the name “Manna Brampton,” alleged affiliation with the Bishnoi network and referenced coordinated attacks in Brampton and Mississauga, as well as at other properties. The message has not been authenticated by Canadian authorities.
The viral content contained explicit threats directed at the showroom owner, along with serious allegations that the establishment had supplied vehicles and weapons to rival groups. It further warned that the incident was only a “trailer,” suggesting future escalation.
In a particularly threatening passage, the post claimed that future actions would involve direct attacks on individuals at their residences. The message also stated that the group was “specialised” in forced home invasions and targeted killings, and warned that the threats extended beyond the showroom owner to others allegedly under surveillance.
Law enforcement agencies in Canada are currently investigating the shooting and examining the authenticity of the social media claims. Officials have not confirmed any link between the Bishnoi gang and the incident.
Authorities have also increased monitoring of organized crime activity in the region as investigations continue.
