A shocking case of murder stemming from an extramarital relationship has emerged from Bhind, where a 23-year-old woman, along with her lover and his associate, allegedly conspired to kill her husband and attempted to mislead police by staging the crime as a robbery.
According to police officials, the incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Ater Police Station. On April 8, authorities received information about the shooting of a युवक, later identified as 27-year-old Nilesh Jatav.
At the time of the incident, Nilesh was travelling on a motorcycle with his wife, identified as Ruby, and their child. In her initial statement to the police, Ruby claimed that they were on their way from Jamna village to Kharika when her bag accidentally fell onto the road. She said she asked her husband to stop the bike, and as he halted, two unidentified assailants approached from behind and shot him before fleeing the scene.
Based on her complaint, police initially registered a case of murder against unknown persons, suspecting a robbery-related crime. However, inconsistencies in Ruby’s statements soon raised suspicion among investigators.
Asit Yadav stated that during questioning, the woman’s account changed multiple times, revealing several contradictions. This prompted a deeper investigation, which ultimately uncovered the truth behind the killing.
Police investigations revealed that Ruby had been in a relationship for nearly seven years with her relative, Vishal Vimal. Despite her marriage, the two remained in constant contact through WhatsApp calls and messages.
Authorities said that over time, Ruby began to view her husband as an obstacle to the relationship. She then allegedly conspired with Vishal to eliminate him.
On the day of the incident, the plan was executed as premeditated. Ruby is said to have deliberately dropped her bag at a predetermined location and asked her husband to stop the motorcycle. As soon as he halted, Vishal Vimal, along with his associate Rajesh, who had been waiting nearby, arrived at the spot.
The accused allegedly shot Nilesh at close range, killing him on the spot, before fleeing the scene.
Police have since arrested the accused, and further investigation into the case is ongoing.
