Man Attacks Neighbour in Ghaziabad Over Suspected Affair, Arrested

A shocking incident has been reported from the Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh, where a man allegedly attacked his neighbour with a sword over suspicions of an extramarital relationship involving his wife.

The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Vijay Nagar Police Station and has since drawn widespread attention after CCTV footage of the attack surfaced on social media.

According to police, the incident occurred on the evening of April 16 at a residential complex in the Siddharth Vihar area. The victim, identified as Abhishek, was riding his motorcycle through the society when the accused, Nitin—also a resident of the same complex—allegedly approached him from behind and launched a sudden attack with a sword.

During the assault, Abhishek was knocked to the ground. The attacker reportedly continued the हमला, causing severe injuries, including a गंभीर चोट to the victim’s ear. Bystanders intervened and rushed the injured man to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the accused suspected his wife of having an illicit relationship with the victim, a belief that had previously led to multiple disputes between them. Police said the assault was carried out based on this suspicion.

Following a complaint by the victim, authorities registered a case and arrested the accused. Officials confirmed that CCTV cameras installed at the scene captured the entire incident, and the footage is currently being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police stated that, given the seriousness of the मामला, all aspects are being thoroughly examined and further कार्रवाई will be taken based on the findings.
