All 24 Indian crew members of a tanker that was hit by a missile and caught fire in Oman have been rescued.
Following the missile attack on MT Marivex in Oman SRR, MRCC Mumbai immediately coordinated with OMSC Oman and safely rescued 24 Indian crew members using Oman Navy helicopters.
The Indian Coast Guard's MRCC Mumbai and Omani authorities coordinated the rescue operation, while Oman Navy helicopters helped evacuate the seafarers to safety. No injuries were reported.
The footage showed Omani helicopters flying over the ship's deck and evacuating those on board.
According to maritime traffic data, the ship Marivex was en route from Karwar, India, to Duqm, Oman, when it was hit by a missile.
