CEBU, Philippines — Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth on the sidelines of the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus in Cebu, with discussions focusing on strengthening bilateral defence cooperation.
The two leaders reviewed progress under the India–US defence cooperation framework, including collaboration in advanced technologies, defence production and equipment development.
The meeting also reaffirmed the importance of cooperation in addressing shared security concerns, including terrorism and regional stability.
India and the United States have been expanding defence ties through joint exercises, technology partnerships and efforts to improve interoperability between their armed forces.
