NEW DELHI — India has invited Pakistan to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s Civilisational Dialogue Forum, scheduled to be held in New Delhi in November. The invitation is part of India’s engagement with member countries of the regional grouping.
Pakistani Minister Aurangzeb Khan Khichi has reportedly been invited to attend the event, alongside representatives from other SCO member states.
The invitation comes amid continuing tensions between India and Pakistan. However, participation in a multilateral forum does not, by itself, indicate a broader change in bilateral relations.
The meeting is expected to provide a platform for discussions on civilisational links and cultural engagement among participating countries.
