PYONGYANG — North Korea has reported testing a strategic cruise missile fitted with a dispersal warhead, according to the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). The test was conducted on Monday, with the report released on Tuesday, November 3.
KCNA said the exercise assessed the missile’s flight characteristics for a vertical strike. The report did not provide further details about the test location, the missile’s range or its performance.
The claims have not been independently verified. The announcement comes amid continuing regional security concerns over North Korea’s missile development and weapons programmes.
