Aviation Regulator DGCA has published the final schedule of international flights.
Six Indian airlines and 60 foreign airlines started connecting India with 63 countries from Sunday. Scheduled international flights have resumed after a two-year suspension imposed in March 2020 due to the Covid pandemic.
According to the new summer schedule, foreign airlines will operate 1,783 flights a week, while Indian airlines will make 1,466 flights a week. Market leader Indigo will make 505 departures a week, followed by the Tata Group-owned Air India 361 weekly flights and its subsidiary Air India Express 340 flights a week.
Passengers arriving from an international destination under the new terms
A. Self-declaration form on Air Convenience Portal
B. Upload Negative RT-PCR Test Report or Kovid-19 Vaccination Certificate of Completion of Primary Vaccination Schedule
As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on February 10'22, the RTPCR negative certificate or vaccination certificate from mutually acceptable countries must be updated along with the passport details and the vaccination certificate on the air facility portal within 72 hours of departure.
List finalized by MEA and attached to the guidelines.
The airline will select 2% of passengers for random testing at the airport. Concerned passengers should bear the cost.
Children under the age of 5 are excluded from the RT-PCR test before and after arrival. However, if symptoms occur, they should contact the government agency and seek treatment in accordance with standard protocols. No need to upload the eighth day RT-PCR test report.
There are a few documents that need to be uploaded when filling the self declaration form in the Air Convenience Portal. They are:
Copy of passport (file type must be pdf format & maximum size must be uploaded up to 1MB.
Upload a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR report made within 72 hours before departure or
Upload a Certificate of Completion of the Complete Preliminary Vaccination Schedule for Kovid-19 Vaccination
(File type must be pdf format & maximum size up to 1MB to upload. Filename with any specific characters and location is not allowed. Only hyphens and underscores are allowed).
