The All India Trade Union Joint Committee has called for a nationwide 48-hour strike by public sector workers. The Joint Committee of Trade Unions of Public Sector Workers has announced that public sector workers will take part in a nationwide general strike on March 28-29.
On March 28 and 29, workers in the motor sector went on a 48-hour general strike to protest the closure of their vehicles. The strike will last from 6 am on March 28 to 6 am on March 30.
Necessary services such as hospitals, ambulances, pharmacies, milk, newspapers and fire and rescue were excluded from the strike. Debt markets will be completely shut down as workers in trade and commerce strike. Farmers 'unions, farmers' unions, central and state service organizations, teachers 'unions, BSNL, LIC, bank employees' unions and port workers will join the strike.
The strike called for the repeal of the anti-labor labor codes, the repeal of the Essential Immunization Services Act and the immediate adoption of the Farmers' Six Rights Charter.
Support was announced by the All India Agricultural Workers Union, the Indian Central Masoodur Union, the All India Agricultural and Rural Labor Organization, the Samyukta Kisan Sabha and the All India Agrarian Agricultural Workers Union. The Joint Kisan Morcha has also expressed support for the strike. On the day of the strike, the organizations called for a village bandh.
