IRELAND:This weekend, Met Éireann predicts sunny intervals and lows in the 20s.
While brief showers are occasionally predicted in the upcoming days, especially in Ulster and some areas of Connacht, sunshine and clear spells are anticipated to predominate.
Looking further out, Met Éireann has predicted that a wave of high pressure would bring calm conditions, largely dry weather, and "gradually increasing temperatures, with the greatest of the sunshine will be in the south and east" starting at the start of next week.
With extended periods of sunshine, temperatures are predicted to reach near the mid-20s, "providing mostly dry sunny weather."
This morning will begin with bright periods and a few showers, with the heaviest rain in Ulster, but afternoon showers should dissipate, leaving extended periods of sunshine.
The southeast of the country will have the warmest highs on Friday, with mild to moderate northwest breezes.
"There will be some fine clear intervals early tonight, but it will gradually turn cloudier, especially in Ulster and Connacht, and by Saturday morning, it will be generating patchy light rain or drizzle. Lowest temperatures will range from 6 to 10 degrees, and small pockets of mist and fog will form as light, variable winds fall, according to a Met Éireann forecaster.
The majority of the south and east will see a dry and sunny Saturday morning, however Connacht and Ulster will experience cloudier conditions with periods of patchy light rain or drizzle.
By early afternoon, all areas will see more unsettling weather for a while, but by nightfall, conditions will dry up and hazy sunny spells with highs of 16 to 21 will develop, with the southeast experiencing the hottest temperatures.
The day will start off dry and sunny on Sunday, but patchy cloud and a few light showers will appear in the middle of the day before the sun returns in the evening. The weekend will see highs between 17 and 21 degrees.
Next week, high pressure will bring steadily rising temperatures, largely dry, calm weather, and the finest sunshine will be towards the south and east.
Monday will begin with a decent amount of sunshine before becoming cloudier from the northwest and maybe developing in a few areas as light rain or drizzle, mostly over the northern half of the country. The areas of Munster and south Leinster will have the best chances of the hazy sunny spells sticking around. According to Met Éireann, some regions will have highs of 23 degrees.
Highs will again reach 23 degrees on Tuesday, with bright sunny spells in the south and east but again cloudier conditions in the north and west.
High pressure is expected to remain dominant starting on Wednesday, "providing mostly dry bright weather with peak temperatures reaching into the mid-twenties," according to Met Éireann.
