IRELAND: 12-hour "Status Yellow" Met Eireann weather warning for six counties

Dublin: The west of Ireland will be hit with wind and rain on Friday as it experiences a change of weather from the Atlantic.

Met Eireann has issued a yellow alert for wind and rain for Clare, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo. It came into effect at 2am and will remain in place until 2pm on Friday: Met Éireann Warning

 "Rainy tonight, breezy and strong southerly winds Friday morning, and heavy rain could lead to some localized flooding."

Becoming wet and windy tonight and during Friday morning with strong and gusty southerly winds developing. Heavy rainfall may cause some localised flooding.

Other parts of the country will not be completely spared from the windy and rainy weather, which means windy and rainy conditions will be experienced across the country.
