Ireland: Met Eireann has a status yellow weather warning for counties Cork and Waterford. A heavy rain warning is in place on Tuesday, while other parts of the country will also receive heavy rain as it reaches Wednesday. The weather warning comes as Hurricane Danielle, the first hurricane of the season, is currently barreling over the mid-Atlantic as it heads towards Ireland.

According to the Status Yellow Warning issued on Tuesday: "Weather change will lead to isolated thunderstorms and flash flooding today and overnight. A Status Yellow Weather Alert has been issued to warn counties at risk. Precautionary measures are advised in these areas. However, the weather expected in the Status Yellow Alert will not pose an immediate danger to the general population.
On Wednesday, rain will spread across the region, with many isolated thunderstorms and flash floods likely, particularly in the south. Maximum temperature will be 16 to 20 C.
Thursday will be bright or sunny. Showers will start over eastern areas and then spread to all areas, many of which are likely to experience thundershowers. The maximum temperature ranges from 17 to 20 degrees Celsius. Met Eireann announced.
