Noida: UP Police's encounter with a group that beat up an 11-year-old and demanded money. The incident took place in Greater Noida. One member of the group who clashed with the police at two places was killed and two others were arrested. A policeman was injured in the operation. An 11-year-old boy from a family in Luxor village of UP was kidnapped by the assailants demanding a ransom of Rs 30 lakh.
The police got the information on Saturday morning that the child was abducted by the gang. The family informed the police that the child was missing. Later, the kidnapping gang demanded 30 lakhs from the family. Later, police patrolling in the area was intensified.
For those who took away the child, the family delivered the money they demanded to the place at six o'clock on Monday morning. However, the group asked to leave the bag full of money in an isolated place as the child was somewhere else and asked to go there and take it. All this was closely monitored by the police. At around seven in the morning, the police entered the encounter after the child reached home safely.
When the police team, which intensified vehicle checks on the road, stopped the motorcycle riders near Luxor village, they opened fire on the police. With this the attack started again. Both the injured bikers were subdued and taken to the hospital. After this, the police launched a search for the third suspect involved in the incident. This led to the second clash.
The third accused was trapped by the police near the underpass. He also fired at the police. He was injured in the police retaliatory attack and was taken to the hospital where he died. 29 lakhs was in possession of the third accused. He is accused in several criminal cases.
The police said that one more suspect is yet to be arrested. The commissioner announced a reward of Rs 50,000 to the police officers who caught the gang.
