Myanmar: Passenger of plane flying at 3500 feet was shot and injured

Naypyidaw: A Myanmar National Airlines flight was shot at shortly before it was about to land on Friday. A passenger in the plane was injured by a bullet. After landing, the passenger was shifted to a hospital in Loikaw, Myanmar. The passenger of the plane flying at an altitude of 3500 feet was shot and injured.

It is estimated that there were 64 passengers on board. It was four miles north of the airport when the shooting occurred. A large hole was formed in the body of the plane during the firing. It is reported that the bullet that penetrated the body caused a serious injury to the passenger's lip.

Major General Saw Min Tun, spokesman for the ruling military council in Myanmar, responded that the attack was carried out by insurgents. He also alleged that they are part of the Karenni National Progressive Party.
